Palin-mania has hit a new high. A month ago no one knew who this moose-hunting governor was and now she has an action figure. You can own your very own pint-sized version of the hard-nosed hockey mom for a mere $27.95. She joins the political ranks for Hillary Clinton, John McCain and Barack Obama, who are already immortalized in plastic.
How is it that the Vice Presidential candidate is more popular than the actual person vying for the top spot? Her sudden popularity is mind-boggling. But, it should be interesting to see little boys and girls across the nation battling evil with their little Palin dolls.
One question though: What is her super hero name?

Larry,
It's really simple. Prior to Palin, McCain had strong support from politicos who reside on the right side of the aisle, however, a LARGE portion of the GOP base were supportive, but not inspired. They didn't feel that McCain was really on their side. With Palin, he PROVED that he was not going to "ignore" that group of voters. The people who support Palin see her not just as a VP, but as a future PRESIDENT. That's why there is such excitement for the 2nd person on the ticket. The same thing would have played out on the Democrat's side. I was expecting a MAJOR bump up in the polls if Obama selected Hillary as his VP. The Hillary voters were behind Obama, but they weren't really inspired either. If he had selected Hillary, those voters would have been aggressive in their support of Obama. They would have seen the election as a step toward the Presidency for Hillary. If Obama loses this election (which now seems as likely as it ever has,) the decision not to choose Hillary will be the reason why.
One more thing, Larry...
Her superhero name is "President Palin."
Let's say McCain/Palin win in November. If the "experts" are correct, McCain will only serve for a single term.
In four years, will we see a Hillary / Palin showdown to become the first female president?
Can it happen?
Oh Yeah... President Palin.
That's not a very exciting super hero name.
